COVID-19 update 18/03/2020: March 18, 2020
The advice in relation to dealing with Covid-19 is changing day by day and as a business we are taking steps to ensure the safety or our staff, contractors and residents.
We are pleased to confirm that we are readily able to accommodate remote working and we have a number of staff working remotely as a precaution. However, this will not affect the service delivery to our customers who will still be able to contact their Property Manager. Whilst we are still able to deal with telephone calls, we do ask that where possible, residents are able to e-mail in their queries. With the recommendation to avoid large gatherings, we have cancelled any forthcoming Annual General Meetings or Residents Meetings and Property Managers will be in touch with details on re-arranging these or holding them in an alternative manner.
Our maintenance teams have adopted additional controls to limit their exposure to the virus and to avoid the potential of this being spread from place to place. We have increased cleaning visits with additional attention being paid to high-contact areas such as entry-phone systems, door handles and handrails. We do still encourage residents to be vigilant and wash their hands before and after passing through the communal areas of their property to further help limit the spread.
We are working with our contractors and maintenance teams to continue business as normal as far as possible. However, where contractors are affected by staff self-isolating, we may have to look at delaying some non-urgent works and assigning works based on urgency. Health and Safety remains our top priority and we are putting additional effort into ensuring that these necessary works can still be completed.
We are very aware that many people are likely to be affected by the spread of Coronavirus and many may need to self-isolate. We are committed to supporting our residents where we can and if you have any concerns we encourage you to contact your Property Manager to discuss these. We also encourage residents to help support each other and where you are able to help a neighbour who may not be able to go outside to collect necessities, please offer you assistance to them if you are able to do so.
Residents will be updated through the Online Portal. Should you not have access to this currently, and would like to benefit from this, please contact your Property Manager who will be able to register you.
